As I mentioned in last week’s post, I wanted to create some simple, yet delicious innovative alternatives to snack foods. This recipe’s combination of sweet and savory has the ability to really hit the spot for a spectrum of tastebud preferences!
The most important step is to ensure that the almonds are soaked for at least a half hour before roasting in the oven. Also, glazing with a touch of olive oil will prevent the sugars from burning while roasting in the oven.
Feel free to use any other seed or nut (or meat/meat alternative) which is easily enhanced by this absurdly easy marinade!

- 2 cups organic raw almonds
- 1/2 cup liquid aminos, tamari, or low sodium soy
- 1/4 cup organic maple syrup or raw local honey
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
